The Super Eagles duo of Alex Iwobi and Henry Onyekuru had disappointing outings on Thursday night in the first leg of their Round of 32 UEFA Europa League games.

Iwobi was handed a starting shirt but he fired blanks as Arsenal suffered a 1-0 defeat against Belarusian side, Bate Borisov at the Borisov Arena.

Iwobi like his other teammates huffed and puffed for the entire 90 minutes of the game.

Stanilav Dragun scored the winning goal for the home team on the stroke of half-time.

In another Europa League game played on Thursday, Henry Onyekuru also ended on the losing side as his Turkish club, Galatasaray lost 2-1 at home to Benfica of Portugal at the Turk Telekom Stadium, Istanbul.
