Nigerian striker, Ademola Lookman may be heading to English Premier League club, Southampton in the January transfer window.

Southampton manager, Ralph Hasehuttl is hoping to the get the signature of the Everton player.

Hasehuttl has tipped the England U20 World Cup winner to be an important addition to his team which has gone without a win in their last four games.

According to Daily Star, Lookman who scored one of the goals in his side's 2-1 FA Cup over Lincoln has managed to start in one Premier League game for the Toffees in the ongoing 2018/19 season, approximately tallying 459 minutes across all competitions.

Hasenhuttl reportedly orchestrated the 21-year-old loan move to Leipzig during the 2017/18 season where his talent came to light with five goals and four assists produced in just eleven games in the German Bundesliga.

Southampton could possibly look to sign a short-term agreement for the rising star, who is behind the hierarchy of attackers at Goodison Park, to help boost their front line.

Lookman originally signed a contract with Everton that would see him out till June 2021.
