Tottenham Hotspur displaced Liverpool from the 3rd spot on the English Premier League table after Sunday’s 4-1 victory over Bournemouth.

Spurs came from behind to thump Bournemouth 4-1 at the Vitality Stadium but will now face an anxious wait to learn the severity of Harry Kane's first-half injury, which has posed a threat to the club and England.

Junior Stanislas broke the deadlock as early as the 7th minute, but Tottenham drew level through Dele Alli in the 35th minute just after Kane was substituted after suffering a heavy blow on his ankle from Asmir Begovic as he turned home Christian Eriksen's cross from an offside position.

After a 1-1 draw at half time, Heung-Min Son scored a brace before Serge Aurier put the game beyond Bournemouth in the 90th minute.

Tottenham now sits 3rd on the league table with 61 points, one more than Liverpool who lost 2-1 to Manchester United on Saturday.
