The Year 2018 should be a good one for Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi and his Leicester City teammates if their display on Monday is anything to go by.

The Foxes returned to winning ways in the Premier League by seeing off Huddersfield Town 3-0 at the King Power Stadium.

The Foxes, previously without a victory in their last four outings, picked up the points through second-half goals from Riyad Mahrez, Islam Slimani and Marc Albrighton.

Ndidi was in action from start to finish and it was a flawless outing for the midfielder who escaped any form of booking.

This New Year day result puts an end to Huddersfield's four-match unbeaten run - their best-such streak in the top flight since 1962.

It now leaves them 11th in the table and now six points behind their opponents.
