Midfielder Wilfred Ndidi was sent off after receiving a second yellow card as his Leicester City club suffered a shameful 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.

Coming from a proud 4-1 victory at Southampton last Wednesday, Leicester disappointed home fans at the King Power stadium on Saturday as they failed to keep the momentum.

Christian Benteke put Palace ahead after 19 minutes of action, and the score was doubled by Wilfried Zaha 21 minutes later to take a 2-0 lead into half time.

Things went from bad to worse for Leicester and indeed Ndidi, who may have planned a nice birthday outing after the match as he was shown a yellow card in the 52nd minute.

Already on a yellow card, Ndidi went down under pressure from Crystal Palace duo Scott Dann And James McArthur. However, there was absolutely not contact as the Nigerian's legs buckled from underneath him.

Referee Martin Atkinson was quick to brandish the second yellow card and send Ndidi off nine minutes after his first caution.

Crystal Palace did well to soak pressure from the host. Leicester got a goal disallowed before Bakary Sako scored the 3rd goal to seal victory for Palace.

The victory takes Crystal Palace to 17 points from 18 matches.
