Manchester United manager, Jose Mourinho has refused to confirm whether his side has launched a bid to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli.

After failing to sign his desired players before the start of the 2018/19 season, Mourinho is looking forward to do business in the January transfer window.

One of his priorities is to get a central defender, and one player is believed to be top on his list.

Napoli ace Koulibaly is now said to be a top target with reports claiming that an offer in the region of £91million has been made for the tough-tackling centre-half.

However, such talk has been played down by Mourinho, who is understandably keeping his cards close to his chest.

“I cannot answer to your question," he said when quizzed over a possible deal. “If is true, if is not true, I cannot answer to your question, maybe your question is the first one about the market and maybe the next press conference I have two more questions, and maybe the next press conference I have three more.

“The only thing I can tell you is Koulibaly is a Napoli player. And I don’t speak about players from other clubs.”
