Manchester United were beaten 2-1 by host Huddersfield Town to suffer their first loss of the season.

United came from a goalless draw against Liverpool to suffer their first defeat this season.

It was Huddersfield Town’s first win over Manchester United in 65 years (since 1952), no thanks to poor defending from the Jose Mourinho tutored side.

The game lived up to expectations and after nine minutes, three yellow cards have already been issued.

Aaron Mooy put the host ahead in the 28th minute to the delight of home fans at John Smith's Stadium and doubled the score five minutes later through Laurent Depoitre.

Just after the break, Mourinho brought in Marcus Rashford for Anthony Martial who has been shown a yellow card and making silly errors afterwards.

Rashford’s introduction added spark to United’s frontline as Romelu Lukaku had more ball supply than he did in the first half.

Their partnership paid off soon after, as Lukaku’s cross met a well-positioned Rashford who scored to reduce the deficit.

United increased the pressure, but Huddersfield held on.
