Manchester United ended Watford’s English Premier League 100 percent record after the Reds snatched a 2-1 victory at the Vicarage Road.

Prior to Saturday’s fixture, Watford had won all their four games to the start of the league.

Although Watford initially looked bright, United finished the first half utterly dominant and 2-0 up, thanks to Romelu Lukaku and Chris Smalling, whose goals were three minutes and 11 seconds apart.

Lukaku broke the deadlock after 35 minutes of action before Chris Smalling extended the lead before half time.

Watford threw the kitchen sink at David De Gea's goal after the break and cut the scores thanks to Andre Gray's 65th-minute goal.

Nemanja Matic was sent off at the death for a second booking before De Gea pulled off a fine stop to preserve all three points.

Nigeria’s Isaac Success was thrown into the fray two minutes from time to replace Craig Cathcart but his arrival changed nothing.
