Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku justified the whopping 75 million pounds ($96 million, 82 million euros) doled out to get his services by scoring twice on his Manchester United debut.

The Reds looked in full control from start to finish as they secure a 4-0 win against West Ham United on Sunday.

The 24-year-old joined United from Everton on 10 July 2017, after signing a five-year contract with the option of a further year.

Marcus Rashford provided the assist for the first goal when his clinical pass met a well-positioned Lukaku, who fired a powerful strike off the post to put Manchester United ahead in the 33rd minute.

The crowded Old Trafford stadium spectators had not seen the last of Lukaku, as he scored his second goal seven minutes into the restart.

Anthony Martial extended United’s lead three minutes from time, before Paul Pogba completed the four-goal rout in the 90th minute from about 18 yards out.
