Liverpool again were forced to a draw in an English Premier League encounter against Burnley on Saturday.

Burnley were resilient despite Liverpool's dominance and attacking waves as both sides settled for a 1-1 scoreline.

After 27 minutes, Burnley went ahead through Scott Arfield’s goal to pile pressure on Jurgen Klopp’s men.

That pressure led to a quick response from Liverpool and Mohamed Salah drew level three minutes later to the delight of home fans.

There were about 53,231 spectators at the Anfield Stadium.

Philippe Coutinho, who made his first start for Liverpool this season, did well to replace a suspended Sadio Mane but a stubborn Burnley side well equal to the task.

With the attacking trio of Roberto Firmino, Mohamed Salah and Daniel Sturridge making several efforts, Burnley proved that their victory over Chelsea early on in the season, was no fluke.

Liverpool played a 2-2 draw with Sevilla on Wednesday in the UEFA Champions League.
