He had to wait for 20 games but he would be celebrating Christmas in style.

Nigeria international, Alex Iwobi ended his goal drought in style on Saturday; scoring the last goal in Arsenal's 3-1 win over Burnley.

It was Iwobi's 80th appearance for Arsenal and he celebrated the occasion with his second Premier League goal for the season.

Iwobi was subbed on in the 78th minute for Alexandre Lacazette and he made his presence count now.

Arsenal took the lead after 14 minutes when Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang pounced in the box after great work in the build-up between Mesut Ozil and Sead Kolasinac.

Aubameyang notched his second goal just after half time, smashing a strike past Joe Hart.

Burnley displayed good team spirit and got themselves back in the contest through Ashley Barnes with a close-range finish.

However, they were unable to find the extra gear to put the Gunners under pressure.

Iwobi got the Gunners over the line with a neat finish in stoppage time.

Arsenal, who remain fifth in the Premier League, had gone 22 matches unbeaten in all competitions before last weekend's defeat to Southampton and lost at home to Spurs in their midweek League Cup quarter-final clash.
