Super Eagles striker Alex Iwobi was on top of his game for Arsenal on Saturday as they beat Crystal Palace 4-1 in the English Premier League.

Arsenal scored four goals in the opening 22 minutes to prove they can do better even without Alexis Sanchez who is hours away from sealing a move to Manchester United.

First Nacho Monreal heads the Gunners in front at the back post from a corner, then set up the next two goals, cutting the ball back for Alex Iwobi and Laurent Koscielny to finish off, before Alexandre Lacazette made it four following a nice move and assist from Mesut Ozil.

Iwobi’s goal came in the 10th minute of action, just after Monreal had broken the deadlock four minutes earlier.

Koscielny extended Arsenal lead in the 14th minutes before Lacazette made it four to finish an impressive first half.

Arsenal dropped form after the break, allowing Crystal Palace’s duo of Christian Benteke and Wilfried Zaha to pile pressure on their defense.

The pressure paid off when Luka Milivojevic cancelled one for Palace in the 77th minute.

Despite the 4-1 win, Arsenal remains 6th on the EPL table, but now has 42 points from 24 matches, while Palace are stuck to 25 points from same number of games.
