EPL: Guardiola Wants You To Know He Is 'The Super One'
That was how it ended at Wembley on Sunday, August 5 as Manchester City showed the rest of Europe a taste of what they have ahead of the start of the 2018/2019 Premier League season.
Pep Guardiola and his men outsmarted, outplayed and overpowered a teething Chelsea team with their debut making manager, Maurizio Sarri.
The Italian admitted that Chelsea must improve after their humbling defeat to Pep Guardiola’s men at the Wembley.
Two goals in either sides of the half-time from Sergio Aguero put the game to bed.
“I do not want to talk only about the defensive phase of the team, not just the defenders. We have to improve in the other half so the defenders can be less busy", he said during the post match interview.
Just a few days to the start of what promises to be a very interesting season, Pep has stuck out a thumb in the general direction of his colleagues to remind them of the obvious - he is the Super One.
In a post on Twitter, the former Catalan created a list of the most successful coaches in Europe and surprisingly left out former Arsenal boss, Arsene Wenger.
Pep does nothing more than celebrate with facts or is there more to it?
The victory was also Pep's 4th trophy win at Wembley.
