Chelsea suffered a shock 1-0 defeat to West Ham last weekend and while they attempt to get back on track on Tuesday against Huddersfield, they will be doing so without their top striker Alvaro Morata.

It is understood that Morata is struggling with 'tiredness and a back problem'.

The 25-year-old put in a poor performance in the 1-0 defeat to West Ham on Saturday and did not make any impact in the match after coming into the game having reportedly been ill during the week.

"Morata is out, because he’s a bit tired and there is a problem in his back. He is out." Conte told journalists ahead of the tricky game away at Huddersfield Town.

With this development, Conte will have to choose who will be his starting strikers, and it is likely that the Chelsea boss will go with his preferred choice of Eden Hazard as a false nine, flanked by Pedro and Willian either side.

That means a return to the 3-4-3 formation, with Cesc Fabregas and N'Golo Kante in the middle of the park and Victor Moses to come back in on the right.
