The London Derby lived up to his billing as Arsenal and Chelsea played out a thrilling 2-2 draw at the Emirates on Wednesday night.

While the expectation was to see two Nigerians on opposing ends battling it out, it was only one; Victor Moses that tasted action for the Blues as Arsenal's Alex Iwobi was left rooted to the bench all through the fiesty encounter.

There was a long wait before the first goal of the game came and when it did in the 63rd minute, it was worth it as the deadlock was broken by Jack Wilshere.

It was Wilshere’s first Premier League goal since May 2015.

Arsenal’s lead lasted just four minutes before Eden Hazard levelled things up from the spot.

It was initially looking as though Chelsea had done enough to come away with all three points when Marcos Alonso scored with just six minutes remaining.

However, there still more late drama in the London derby as Hector Bellerin fired home a fine half-volley to earn a point for the home side, who held on despite Chelsea hitting the crossbar just seconds later.

Chelsea's failure to hold on for the win denied Antonio Conte's men the chance to climb above Manchester United.

While on their part, Arsenal's inability to capitalise on Wilshere's opener saw them end the game five points adrift of the top four and Champions League places.
