Another defensive crisis is looming in Manchester United as four players may miss the English Premier League clash against Fulham on Saturday.

The Red Devils have had a rough November, and have started December off in the same fashion.

Their last win in the Premier League came against Bournemouth on 3 November and since then have managed three draws against Crystal Palace, Southampton and Arsenal.

Manchester City also showcased their sheer dominance over their local rivals with a comprehensive 3-1 victory.

And Jose Mourinho has had enough problems on his plate to deal with after issues on and off the pitch.

But the latest area of concern is players' fitness, with many now beginning to toil in the hectic fixture schedule.

And specifically, United’s defence is set to take a hit with three centre-backs major doubts ahead of the weekend clash against Fulham.

Chris Smalling, Phil Jones and Eric Bailly have all had to play through the pain barrier but the Manchester Evening News are reporting that all three could miss out on Saturday.

Defensive duo Smalling and Bailly both played against Arsenal but were only half-fit throughout and Jones made a comeback to the line-up for the 2-2 draw against Southampton but, again, was struggling to make it through.

Another major loss could be Anthony Martial, who was taken off against the Gunners as a precaution but MEN are reporting that the problem could get worse.

Mourinho said after the Arsenal match: "He doesn't think it is an injury, he thinks it's a pre-injury, he was feeling tight."

As for the game against Claudio Ranieri’s Cottagers, The Special One suggested that he will have to force unfit players into his side.
