After ending his seven-year stint at Lille on Friday, former Nigeria International Vincent Enyeama is already being linked with another French club.

According to reports, Enyeama might be stepping down to Ligue 2 to join Auxerre, a club that has seen some Nigerian don it colours in times past; including Taribo West in the 90s.

Get French Football – a French website claim 36-year-old Enyeama who is now a free agent could reach an agreement with Auxerre in the coming days.

“Enyeama is one of the players that could join Auxerre as he is a free player,” the report on Get French Football stated

The 36-year-old made 164 appearances for the club over seven years since his move from Hapoel Tel Aviv of Israel.

Enyeama also made 101 appearances for the Super Eagles since his debut in 2001 before abruptly announcing his retirement from national team duties.
