The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) will hold an emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Tuesday, February 19.

It says the meeting will hold at the PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja and will commence by 12 noon.

A statement posted on its Twitter page on Monday contained the scheduled meeting.

The meeting is coming three days after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) postponed the general elections by one week.

The ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) held its own emergency caucus meeting on Monday and accused the opposition party of using the INEC to scuttle the elections

It has denied the allegation.

The PDP had called for the resignation of the chairman of INEC, Mahmood Yakubu, after he announced the election postponement.

While the APC accused the PDP of manipulating the electoral body, it also supported the call for the resignation of the INEC chairman if it would make the process credible.
