The battle for the soul of Ekiti State is ongoing at the governorship election currently underway in the state.

Long before today, there have been accusations and counter accusations between the two main political parties, the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP and the All Progressives Congress, APC taking part in the poll.

On Saturday morning, PDP agents at the polling units accused security personnel of trying to disrupt the polls in favour of APC.

Bounce News correspondent, Lekan Oladeinde who is monitoring the polls in Ekiti state reports that some PDP agents told the party’s governorship candidate, Prof. Kolapo Olusola that security personnel have been detailed to harass and intimidate voters loyal to the party.

The agents told Prof. Olusola that the plan was to scare away the voters in order to rig the election in favour of the APC. The agents also accused the APC of inducing the voters with cash.

This is even as the card reader has rejected Prof. Olusola’s voter card.

A visibly angry Olusola then warned the APC not to execute their plan as this will be resisted.

The officials of INEC at the polling unit were said to be sorting out what technical issues that led to the rejection of Prof. Olusola’s voter card. They have asked him to come back later in the day,
