So, the Peoples’ Democratic Party, PDP candidate in the ongoing Ekiti governorship election, Prof. Kolapo Olusola has finally voted.

Prof. Olusola’s voter card was initially rejected by the card reader earlier today when he arrived the polling unit to cast his ballot.

PDP agents at the polling units had accused security personnel of trying to disrupt the polls in favour of APC.

Bounce News correspondent, Lekan Oladeinde who is monitoring the polls in Ekiti state reported that some PDP agents told Olusola that security personnel had been detailed to harass and intimidate voters loyal to the party.

The agents told him that the plan was to scare away the voters in order to rig the election in favour of the APC. The agents also accused the APC of inducing the voters with cash.

A visibly angry Olusola was reported to have warned the APC not to execute their plan as this will be resisted.

The officials of INEC at the polling then swung into action to sort out what technical issues that led to the rejection of Prof. Olusola’s voter card.

After casting his ballot, Olusola's said he hoped all voters encountering similar challenge with the card reader would have it resolved as quickly as possible.
