Ekiti politicians may have boycotted his valedictory party but the streets still show him love.

After his party flopped with food and drink wasted on Friday night, outgoing Ekiti governor, Ayodele Fayose returned to the streets that gave him fame.

The governor on Saturday did a special walk round the streets of Ado Ekiti the state capital to thank the people for supporting him through his time in office.

Bearing a placard with “thank you and goodbye” boldly written on it, Fayose waved, shook hands and hugged the people he met on the road.

He did not command the kind of crowd he used to have behind him in the past but the few who showed up showed love.
