Nigerian international, Kelechi Iheanacho is expected to lead the line as Leicester City will welcome Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool to the King Power Stadium on Tuesday night, in the third round of the Carabao EFL Cup.

Iheanacho is gradually hitting full fitness after initially being slowed down by an injury after completing his switch from Manchester City.

The 20-year old is set to shoulder more responsibilities as Jamie Vardy is doubtful for the game.

The Foxes made it to this stage of the competition after they defeated Sheffield United 4-1 away from home in the second round, and manager Craig Shakespeare will be hoping to get a positive result against the Merseysiders too, who have been struggling to put teams away in the past week or so.

Leicester come into the game on the back of a 1-1 draw against Huddersfield Town in the weekend and will be wanting to put on a stronger display against the Reds.

It is also expected that Ahmed Musa will be given a look-in to also prove himself, having been continually snubbed for league games.

Should he get the nod, he will be operating on the right flank, in place of Riyad Mahrez.
