Efe Ambrose is begging to be recalled to the Nigeria national team ahead of the World Cup in Russia and why his appeals have so far fell on deaf ears, the defender has stepped up his game to see if that will work in his favour.

The former Celtic defender now with Hibernian scored his second goal of the season in the Scottish Premier League on Friday night as he is proving that aside from his primary duties of defending he can go the extra mile to get the goals for his team.

“It is a great feeling to score the goal that helped my team get a point off the hosts,” he told SCORENigeria

“This is a great result for us because we played with a man down for 75 minutes. We really put in our best to get the draw, though victory was what we desired.”

Hibernian goalkeeper Ofir Marciano was sent off in the 14th minute of the game and another goalkeeper was introduced in the 16th minute.

Ambrose and his Hibernian teammates are now fourth on the league table with 52 points from 30 games.
