The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has sealed-off eight properties allegedly owned by the embattled former chairman of the Presidential Task Reform Team, Abdulrahseed Maina in Kaduna State.

The properties include a two-storey shopping plaza at number 2c Ibrahim Taiwo road and another duplex at Katuru road all located in the state capital.

The two were sealed on Monday while the remaining six  houses on Kano Road at Kawo extension in Kaduna were sealed on Tuesday afternoon in an operation that lasted for almost two hours.

Armed EFCC operatives were said to have stormed  the building on Tuesday afternoon and marked them with the inscription, ‘EFCC Keep Off’, Subject of Investigation.'

Similarly, EFCC had sealed all the properties belonging to Maina in Abuja.

Kaduna zonal spokesman of the EFCC, Kamaludeen Gebi confirmed the operation saying the houses were sealed by the EFCC and that the operation is bound to continue.

He said "We sealed two companies yesterday and another six houses on Kano Road, Kawo extension today."

He said other properties acquired by Maina  are being identified by the agency for further investigations.
