When a sitting governor writes EFCC notifying the commission of his decision to make himself available for interrogation after office, one would expect the gesture to buy him some respect.

But when the governor is Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), has no trust.

The Commission has appealed to the Nigerian Customs Service to put Fayose on its watch list, as contained in a letter addressed to the Comptroller General of Customs.

They say they have reasons to believe that Fayose may try to sneak out of the country soonest through the airports, seaports or land borders.
