A five-man committee to investigate allegations of doping rules violation and improper conduct against the Vice President of the Athletics Federation of Nigeria Olamide George is to set be inaugurated.

 The committee will be inaugurated on Tuesday March 27, 2018 at 1pm at the Minister's Conference room Abuja.

This follows a petition to the Athletics World Body IAAF and the World Anti-Doping Agency WADA by Tafida Gadzama, a member of the AFN board representing the North East.

Gadzama alleged doping violations against George and an athlete Sade Abugan said to have taken place during the Commonwealth Games in India in 2012.

The committee is to interrogate Mr. Olamide George and the Petitioner Mr Gadzama to establish culpability and the veracity of the allegations.

Meanwhile, Mr Olamide George has been suspended from all athletics related activities by the Ministry of Youth and Sports pending completion of its investigation.
