Enyimba beat Djoliba 1-0 to snatch all three points in in the CAF Confederation Cup Mali on Sunday, but striker Mfon Udoh would not want to roll out the drums just yet.

The Peoples’ Elephants, got an 89th minute penalty which was nicely converted by Farouk Mohammed to ensure the Nigerian club won the game, and now sits second on Group C with nine points from five matches.

Happy with the result, Udoh says the last group game against Cara in Nigeria is very important to the team as a clean victory will see them sail smoothly to the quarterfinals irrespective of the outcome of the other match between Williamsville and Djoliba.

“We are so happy to sneak away with a 1-0 victory over Djoliba, it was a result of hard work, dedication, sacrifice and the grace of God.

“We are close to the quarter final, but we still have one hurdle to climb against Cara in Nigeria, it’s not yet over until its over. We still need a victory in that game to sail through smoothly to the next round.

“We will still go back home and work harder because the journey is becoming tougher, and by God’s grace we will get there.''

Though on same point with Enyimba, Cara top the group on goal difference, while Williamsville are 3rd in the group, on seven points.

Djoliba have already crashed out, having managed just four points from five matches.
