Chelsea star striker Diego Costa has said he is determined to help the Blues back to winning ways when they take on Manchester City on Wednesday.

He says Saturday's defeat must be put behind the team and called on the fans to cheer the team like never before.

‘Now is not the time to regret or feel sorry for ourselves but to lift up our heads and think about the next game because it will be very important,’ Diego Costa told Chelsea’s official website.

‘Obviously, a big game like this is always important, especially after a defeat at home and a rival getting nearer us.

‘The game against Man City is a game of six points – and if we win they will basically be out of the fight for the title and we can maintain a distance, depending on the result between Tottenham and Swansea.

‘So let’s try to do our best and make the ball go in,’ the striker added.
