Lagos state lawmaker, Honourable Desmond Elliot is greatly pained by the demise of the former Lagos Sports Commissioner, Mr Deji Tinubu.

Bounce News met with the Nollywood star at the House of Assembly on Tuesday, and he shared his thoughts on a day when Tinubu’s final rites commenced at Victoria Island.

“You always have nice things to say about people who are late but this one, I mean it in every sense of the word.

“Deji Tinubu will be greatly missed. He was what you can describe as a perfect gentleman. He was very calm and dealt with people with a lot of respect and love.

“Not minding the background, he was from, he related with people, knew his office, knew the office of the honorable members in terms of how the respect needed to go.

“I just pray for the family that God gives them the fortitude to bear the loss.

He reiterated the decision by the House of Assembly to set up a memorium in his name and hoped that the Governor would approve of it.

The sudden death of Mr Deji Tinubu has been a painful reality check that reminds us how much we need to pay attention to our health.

Honourable Elliot could not agree more.

“I know he was given a clean bill of health, but I feel we should work hard at living a very healthy life as well and do our regular checkups.

“That includes me as well,” he concluded.
