Ousmane Dembele has undergone a successful surgery in Helsinki, Finland on Tuesday.

The Barcelona striker flew out of Spain on Monday to Finland where he was operated upon by a specialist.

The 20-year-old suffered a torn hamstring in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Getafe.

Barcelona announced that their record 105 million-euro ($125 million) signing will be out for at least 90 days after his successful surgery.

"Dembele was successfully operated on Tuesday to repair a ruptured biceps femoris in his left leg. He is expected to be out for three and a half months." Barca said in a statement.

The France international may now miss the rest of Barca's Champions League group campaign and faces a race against time to take part in the first Clasico of the season against Real Madrid on December 23.
