Davido is trying to break his way into the American market, so he is currently on a tour of radio stations in the United States.

The popstar on Tuesday, February 26, 2019, had an interview on an American radio station, Shade 45's Sirius/XM show.

His stopover at the radio station is part of his press run in selected American radio stations this week, in his quest to push his music further into the North American market after ‘Fall’ became a fan favourite on US radio stations.

Davido's 'Fall' also recently became the longest charting Nigerian song on the Billboard leading to a rise in his profile in the United States.

In the interview, Davido confessed that the success of 'Fall' on New York radio stations came at a time when he was not even expecting it.

''Honestly, when I tried to cross to the American market, it didn't work, when I didn't try, it worked.
