#DapchiGirls: Adeboye Prays For Leah Sharibu
The General Overseer of The Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye has responded to the news of a 15-year old Leah Sharibu, one of the Dapchi 110 who was taken captive on February 19, 2018 by Boko Haram.
The girls were kidnapped from their dormitories at the Girls Science Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe State.
But while the rest were released on Wednesday, March 21st, Leah is still in captivity because she refused to renounce her Christian faith.
Pastor Adeboye who had expressed anger when the girls were abducted in February, praying God to release them from their captors, prayed again yesterday for her peaceful rescue.
“Lord, we ask that you visit the camp of the captors and in a way that you alone can, see to the safe release and return of the missing girl, Leah Sharibu in Jesus name.
“Isaiah 49:25 says: ’But this saith the LORD, Even the captives of the mighty shall be taken away, and the prey of the terrible shall be delivered: for I will contend with him that contends with thee, and I will save thy children,’” he pleaded with God, promising to continue to lift her up in prayer until she’s released.
