Kayode Oreneye shows no mercy for his enemies.

He did not only shoot Shakiru, he also cut his hands off, and sold them to a herbalist for 5,000 Naira.

Kayode was arrested for the crime at a bar in Oke Ilewo, Abeokuta.

The Commissioner of Police in Ogun, Ahmed Iliyasu, who paraded him alongside 47 suspected criminals,  said Kayode is a suspected member of Aiye cult group, while the late Shakiru belonged to a rival cult group, Eiye.

Kayode claims that the deceased had attempted to kill him on three occasions, but he escaped.

The 27-year old then confessed that he shot and killed Shakiru at Library Junction, Ilaro, on February 12, before chopping off and selling  Shakiru's hands to Jimoh, a herbalist.

The suspect, who is a father of two, also claimed that the deceased killed three members of the Aiye cult group.

“It is true that I shot and killed Shakiru, because he had killed three members of our (Aiye) cult group.

“Again, he had made attempts on my life on three occassions, so I had to strike before he would make attempt on my life again.” he said.
