It appears there is no end in sight for the boundary dispute between Cross River and Ebonyi states.

The worsen after the visit of the Minister of Interior, Bello Dambazu, as more lives and property have been destroyed.

Over 30 persons were said to have been injured and several housed razed in a recent attack.

The last straw that broke the camel's back was the abduction of a fresh graduate who resides at Boki local council area, Cross River.

Mr. Ogbonna Chukwu, an indigene of Ugwu Odida in Onicha local council area of Ebonyi State, was allegedly seized and taken as hostage by the warlords of Igbeagu in Izzi Local Government Area of Ebonyi State.

Family source told Bounce News that he was crossing from Cross River State to Ebonyi State for his school clearance at EBSU, when he was seized by his captors.

His uncle, Monday Ani, who condemned the act, said since the incident occurred last week, no trace of the victim has been established.

“We condemned the seizure and hostage keeping of our son, Mr. Ogbonna Peter Chukwu by some persons suspected to be warlords of Igbeagu following the ongoing crisis between them and Ukele people of Cross River State.

“He was coming to the school for clearance, completely unaware of the conflict until he was suddenly accosted at the crisis area within Izzi axis, where he was seized by the people.

“No trace of the victim has been established because after he was abducted, his phone and brand-new motorcycle was dispossessed from him.
Dr. Ani gave a vivid description of Ogbonna Peter Chukwu.

He added, “he is tall, slim and fair in complexion. Speaks English language, Onicha Igboeze and Boki dialects fluently”, he told Bounce News.
