Facebook is about to sign its biggest original series deal to date. It's a reality show about 5 time World footballer of the year, Cristiano Ronaldo.

The social giant is in talks to bring the Ronaldo docu-series to Facebook Watch, its video platform for TV-style content.

The Portuguese footballer is expected to get $10 million for staring in the 13-episode show.

Facebook is leveraging on the fact that Ronaldo is the most popular athlete on Facebook with more than 120 million followers for his official page.

He plays for Spanish pro team Real Madrid and the national Portugal team, which was eliminated from the 2018 World Cup last Saturday after losing to Uruguay in the round of 16.

Facebook has funded a few dozen original shows over the past year.
