The Catalan dream is not over but Coutinho is pleased with his present status and teammates.

Philippe Coutinho says he remains committed to Liverpool and has promised to give his best during his stay at the club.

The Brazil international turned in a transfer request in the summer but was rejected by Liverpool as he tried to force a move to Barcelona.

The Spanish club also saw three offers turned down, with Liverpool insisting their playmaker will remain at Anfield.

Coutinho has since returned to competitive football and started Liverpool’s last three matches.

He scored the equalizer in a 1-1 UEFA Champions League draw at Spartak Moscow on Tuesday.

"I'm calm. It's all passed by. I'm here to defend the colours, to give my maximum."

Liverpool will return to the English Premier League on Sunday to face Newcastle United at St James' Park.
