Court Remands Suspected Killer Of Ex-Ondo Dep. Gov's Daughter
Despite the decision of the former deputy governor of Ondo state not to embark on a legal tussle with the suspected killer of his daughter, Kahdijat Oluboyo, the state police command has decided to follow it up.
The suspect, who was arraigned by the police on a two-count charge of conspiracy and murder, has been remanded by an Akure magistrate court on Monday.
The police prosecutor, Sergeant Adebayo Mary told the court that since it was a murder case, the court had no jurisdiction and pleaded for his remand in prison.
In her ruling, Magistrate Bob Manuel ordered the remand of the suspect in Olokuta prison till the 23rd of August 2018.
Bounce News had reported that the accused, Adeyemi Alao had allegedly murdered the deceased and buried her corpse under his bed at his Oke-Aro residence in Akure.
The spokesman of the police command in Akure, Femi Joseph confirmed the arrest of the suspect last week.
Meanwhile, the deceased's father, Lasisi Oluboyo had vowed not to take up the case against the suspect, saying he has left the judgement to God.
