Though the generality of Nigerans have their minds fixed on the 2019 elections, an equally important election is around the corner and it is understandably generating a lot of interest.

There is no gainsaying that football is very important to Nigeria and Nigerans hence whoever gets the nod to be the President of the Nigeria Football Federation is held in high esteem.

As the activities unfold leading to the Katsina 2018 NFF Elective Congress, one of the four contestants for the presidency, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi has made public his agenda to improve the fortunes of football in the country.

Ogunjobi has promised that he would, among other things, be a bridge-builder should he win the race.

The Osun State FA boss who is often tagged as “The Oracle of Nigerian Football” was also one of the six that contested for the headship of the NFF in Warri, four years ago.

This time around, the former international footballer-turned sports administrator has unfolded an eight-point agenda to be implemented if he gets the top job at Glass House.

Also, Chief Ogunjobi who was the General Secretary of the then NFA from 2002 to 2005 has promised to enhance the marketing and sponsorship departments of the NFF.

This he intends to do thorough “provision of adequate funding for our programs and projects through aggressive brand marketing and sponsorship drive”.
