Corruption War: Buhari Meets With Thabo Mbeki
President Muhammadu Buhari on Thursday, October 4th met with the former President of South Africa, Mr Thabo Mbeki.
Both leaders held talks at the State House in Abuja, Nigeria's capital.
Mr Mbeki is the Chairperson of the African Union High Level Panel on Illicit Financial Flows from Africa, and both leaders looked at issue of corruption and how to eliminate it in the continent.
President Buhari has continued to seek international support for his administration's push to bring back stolen funds hidden away in foreign bank accounts.
His meeting with Mr Mbeki was another opportunity for the President to further express this commitment to bring back stolen funds and make appeal for international support in the fight against corruption.
Also at the meeting were Mojanku Gumbl and Nigeria's Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami.
The meeting came on a day the President Buhari also met with Governors of the All Progressives Congress ahead of the party's convention that will hold on Saturday, October 6th.
