CORRUPTION: Fayose Has 2 'Critical' Questions For EFCC
The former Governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, standing trial for allegedly getting a share from the national cake - the arms deal money - is asking the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) two critical questions and they are about another man that is entangled in the anti-corruption fight.
His name is Babachir Lawal, and he has an allegation of corruption hanging on his neck over a breach of the code of conduct for people civil servants in Nigeria.
There are also allegations that he used an exorbitant amount to cut grass.
Months after the whole issue that resulted in his sack, the EFCC filed a 10-count charge against him at an Abuja High Court.
But since that case was filed in the last week of January 2019, the man has not appeared in court.
This is why Fayose is asking questions.
"I have two questions for the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. This govt said it was ready to try the former SGF, Babachir Lawal, are they waiting to aid him to travel abroad too?
"If they claimed Ex-NIA boss, Oke and his wife escaped abroad, has the former SGF escaped too?" the former Ekiti Governor asked on his Twitter page.

No one knows what the former Governor has heard, but Mr Lawal has not appeared in court since the EFCC said it filed a case against him.
Mr Fayose also has allegations of corruption over 2.2 billion Naira fraud against him and one man that is a witness in the case, Musiliu Obanikoro.
The judge handling the case has threatened to jail Mr Obanikoro, who claimed he gave Mr Fayose funds, but has refused to show up in court.
