Arsenal finally got their first convincing win of the season and Spanish defender Hector Bellerin gave an above average performance.

The 3-0 win over Bournemouth at the Emirates appears to have boosted his confidence as he spoke to the media afterwards.

There were opinions that Arsenal could have scored more, but the right back seemed happier having helped Arsenal record a welcome clean sheet.

“Yeah, I mean we have to be happy with what we got. We’re happy that we got a clean sheet, that is really important for us because we conceded a few goals in the last game so it was important for us to keep solid at the back.

“We’ve got that in us as well and as long as you win and you win playing well the way we did, it feels good whatever the score is.”

On the criticism that came the team's way after the 4-0 defeat to Liverpool, he expressed satisfaction at fighting back.

“We came from a tough period after two losses in the Premier League and it has been a hard time, everyone knows that.

“It was up to us to come up with the right attitude and the right plan, and everyone performed at their best level. Everyone gave their 100 per cent and that’s shown in the whole game and in the result.”

Arsenal face Chelsea next and thoughts of the in-form Alvaro Morata must be ringing in Bellerin’s head.

“Well, he’s a great player. I’ve played with him in the national team a few times and people had a lot of doubts because Diego Costa has been very good for the past few seasons.

“It’s a great pressure to go to Chelsea and perform, but he’s a great player, he’s done really well and I’m happy for him.

“Every game is important at this point. We’ve got the Europa League on Thursday, which is also really important.

“We need to put our mark in the tournament as well and the first game is going to be really important for us and then after that we’ll think about Sunday.”
