Civil Defence Will Keep Niger State Safe During Easter
Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) has deployed 250 personnel to provide security to public places in Niger state during Easter.
The state’s Corps Commandant, Mr Philip Ayuba, said in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Minna on Wednesday, that some of the personnel would be deployed to places of worship and recreation centres.
“We have taken sensitive security measures that will enable residents observe the festivities in a peaceful atmosphere,” he said.
He also said that the corps had mapped out elaborate security measures in the 25 local government areas of the state.
The commandant said residents should go about their legitimate activities without fear of molestation.
Ayuba, however, urged the residents to be security conscious and report any form of security threat to relevant agencies for prompt action.
