The award winning author of Half of a Yellow Sun took to her Facebook page to rectify reports from blogs which had falsely attributed the Biafra nationhood claim to her person.

She posted on Facebook:

This headline below, and other similar headlines, which appeared on some websites: are false. They are completely invented; along with some accompanying quotes which have been attributed to me. I did not say or write those words.

Meanwhile former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, has warned against the deployment of soldiers and police to the South East and South South, in a bid to arrest leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

In a series of posts on Twitter, Fani-Kayode claimed Kanu was bigger than President Muhammadu Buhari.
