Chelsea defender Ola Aina made his international debut for Nigeria at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Saturday October 7, 2017.

Aina came in for injured Elderson Echiejile in the 80th minute in a 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zambia.

Currently on loan at Championship side Hull City, Aina would have made his Super Eagles debut against Cameroon on September 1, only for his clearance to be delayed.

Having played for England youth side, his papers was confirmed in time to represent Nigeria in the return leg against Cameroon on September 4 in Younde, only for coach Gernot Rohr to keep him on the bench.

Aina, who clocks 21 on October 8, is now set to wear the green and white colours at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.

The victory for him must be a very nice birthday gift.
