English Premier League champions, Chelsea have seen the duo of Danny Drinkwater and David Luiz return to training after injury layoff.

Manager Antonio Conte can now heave a sigh of relief over the duo’s return to training on Friday.

Conte could feature any or both players in Saturday’s clash against Watford, after they were initially ruled out.

Drinkwater has not played for Chelsea since joining from Leicester City on deadline day after suffering a calf injury shortly after his arrival.

Luiz started in central midfield during the UEFA Champions League 3-3 draw with Roma on Wednesday, but was substituted in the second half and Conte said he also had a calf problem.

Surprisingly, Watford is ahead of Chelsea on 4th place and two points better than the defending champions.
