Playing a friendly against four-time Nigeria League champions, Kano Pillars is one of the chosen ways the CHAN Eagles will be using to prepare for their must-win duel against Benin Republic.

Team officials say the home based Eagles will play Pillars on Wednesday, as the Nigeria Football Federation have now shifted Yobe Desert Stars/Pillars Aiteo round of 64 match to August 24 in Damaturu.

The home-based Eagles played two test games in Kano before their first leg CHAN playoff in Benin on Sunday.

Even with the friendly games, they lost to their counterparts from Benin 1-0 and will now hope to avenge this defeat to qualify for next year’s CHAN in Kenya.
