The players invited to the CHAN Super Eagles training camp in Kano will no longer report on the earlier scheduled date of Thursday, July 20.

The players will now wait till Monday, July 23 before hitting the ancient city to commence preparations for the national assignment.

The 30 players handed invitations to the CHAN team were originally expected to begin training on Saturday July 15.

The NFF have now received approval from the Kano State Government for the home-based Eagles to train within the Kano metropolis before a final playoff against Benin or Togo in August.

A committee has been set up by the state government to ensure the national team enjoys its hospitality and has access to excellent facilities.

Benin were forced to a 1-1 draw by neighbours Togo in a first leg qualifier on Sunday in Lome with the return leg in Cotonou on Sunday and the overall winners will face Nigeria between August 11 and 18.
