The home-based Super Eagles came from a goal down to beat Angola 2-1 in a keenly contested quarter final match at the ongoing African Nations Championships, CHAN on Sunday.

After both team fired blanks in the first half where glorious chances were missed by the two teams, Angola took a shock lead through Va in the 55th minute.

It was looking like the end of the road until Anthony Okpotu first popped up with a very late equalizer in the 91st minute.

With the game stretching into extra time one of the new entrants, Gabriel Okechukwu saved the day for Nigeria with well-taken goal.

Despite fierce attempts by Angola to force the game to penalties, the home-Eagles held to qualify for the semi final where they will face Sudan.
