The Nigeria home-based Super Eagles team as well as their Cameroonian counterparts battled to a barren draw in a friendly match late Wednesday night.

Both teams are getting set for the CHAN 2018 tournament which kicks off this weekend in Morocco.

Cameroon enjoyed more of the ball and created the better chances in the first half, but the CHAN Eagles came strongly into the game as it wore on.

Goalkeeper and captain Ikechukwu Ezenwa and his deputy, Dele Ajiboye both made great saves during Wednesday’s game while a suitable number of the players also impressed during the highly physical test match.

Coach of the team, Salisu Yusuf expressed delight with the display of his wards as he explained that the performance was more important to him than the outcome.

He said: “In games like this, the result is secondary, you are more concerned seeing the players exhibit what they have been taught and I think they did well tonight even though there are still some details that we have to work on before our opening game against Rwanda”

Aside Rwanda, the CHAN Eagles will also face Libya and Equatorial Guinea in the group stage.
