Champions League: Messi-Less Barcelona Battles Inter, Spurs Eye Away Win
It is so far a two-horse race in Group B of the UEFA Champions League as Barcelona and Inter Milan are holding sway with the maximum six points after the first two sets of matches.
Tottenham Hotspur and PSV on their part are still without a point but there could be some changes as the Match Day 3 games go down on Wednesday at Camp Nou and Philip Stadion.
FC Barcelona will be hosting Nerazzurri without the services of superstar striker Lionel Messi, who is expected to be out for three weeks after he fractured his arm in league action over the weekend.
Nevertheless, that gives his teammates an opportunity to step up against a resurgent Inter side with a newfound inclination for attacking football that will no doubt clash with Barça’s unwavering, possession-based style of play.
For the other tie, PSV's position at the bottom of Group B may make this one appear like an easy away win, but their Eredivisie form has been perfect, winning all nine games and scoring 36 goals in the process.
Tottenham, though, are enjoying a great season themselves and despite being fifth in the Premier League table, sit two points off the top and are enjoying a four-game winning run in the league.
This could easily be a game full of goals and the visitors are more than capable of finding the net, especially Erik Lamela who has been in wonderful form so far.
Who will be at the top and bottom of the log in Group B after tonight's action... we wait to see.
